The Plus account requires an annual subscription (they are currently offering a free trial). The Basic account for a registered user offers everything the Guest account offers with the ability to save up to 999 papers, share papers, search papers, add favorites, and save your browsing history. The free Guest account gives you the ability to utilize the calculation, graph, statistics, and geometry options. Tips: There are three different ClassPad plans to choose from. Rather than simply looking for a right/wrong answer, this could provide the space to talk mathematics with students. This would also give the teacher additional insight into how students are approaching and thinking through problems. This would be a great way to talk perspective, different approaches to problems, and how we solve problems in life. Likely there would be multiple ways to think through the inquiry. Because students can share work with a unique URL, each student could submit their work for the class to review. I think it would be exciting to pose an inquiry question or word problem for students and allow them to come up with a proof addressing the problem. The EEPROM can be locked to permanently prevent any further data writes. An additional 128 bytes (1Kb) of general-purpose EEPROM is included for storage of system data. However, my favorite use would be for students to explore the world as a mathematician and utilize ClassPad to help them express themselves mathematically. The Scratchpad 1 memory contains the 2-byte tem-perature register that stores the digital output from the temperature sensor.
The ability to use a tablet or computer may help those students with dysgraphia excel in the math classroom.Īs a teacher, you can use ClassPad to create learning material for your students. Whether your students need extra practice, you want to make your math materials more hands-on and relevant for your students, or your students are creating proofs, ClassPad is an excellent addition to your classroom.ĬlassPad could also be helpful for your math students who struggle to get ideas out through paper/pencil work. It makes it easy for you and your students to create original materials.

How to integrate ClassPad into your classroom: ClassPad is a fantastic tool for the mathematics and science classroom. Students can access your materials through a unique URL.
On touch devices, you can write calculations and graphics by hand, just like on actual paper. ClassPad can be accessed from tablets and computers. With ClassPad, you can quickly add mathematical formulas, graphs, spreadsheets, and geometry sheets to share with your students (and other teachers). You can create original teaching materials for the math classroom quickly and easily.

O’Reilly members experience live online training, plus books, videos, and digital content from nearly 200 publishers. What it is: ClassPad is free online software that lets you digitize your math scratch paper. Get Scrivener For Dummies now with the O’Reilly learning platform. Sending a note to a project: When you’re ready to send a note to a project, select it from the list, click the Send to Project drop-down list at the bottom (called Send File to Scrivener in Windows), and then choose from your open projects. Click the plus sign (+) button at the bottom-left to add a new note. When you first open it, your note is called Untitled Note. The top half of the window is a list of all the notes you’ve stored. This window floats above all other programs, which makes it good as a reference tool or to enter notes while viewing a web page or other document. Opening the Scratch Pad: To open the Scratch Pad from within Scrivener, choose Window⇒Show Scratch Pad (or Tools⇒Scratch Pad in Windows). If you later decide that they belong in a particular project, you can import the notes to the Binder.īut even better, you can use the Scratch Pad when your project’s not even open (as long as Scrivener’s running)! Salehi is CEO and Karbassiyoon is the CTO. The Scratch Pad is a tool that lets you jot down notes that don’t apply to a particular project. Sales tech entrepreneurs Pouyan Salehi and Cyrus Karbassiyoon set out to change that with the founding of Scratchpad in 2019.
